Sie haben die Aufgabe, Oberfl\u00e4chenoxide, Gase oder andere Verunreinigungen von Metall zu trennen und die Metallphase von der Atmosph\u00e4re zu isolieren. Es ist Stand der Technik, dass die Anwendung von Salzfluss in Kontakt mit kontaminierten Rohmaterialien wie Schrott unweigerlich zur Bildung einer Salzoxid-Metall-Suspension f\u00fchrt, die sowohl die metallischen als auch die oxidierten Metall- und Salzbestandteile enth\u00e4lt.
